The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions.

The board conducts the entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities.

The board is also charged with the responsibility of administering similar examinations for applicants of the Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, and colleges of educations.

The mission of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) is to reliably measure candidates’ abilities and determine their suitability for higher education.

Follow the 4 simple steps below to check your 2022 JAMB UTME result online without a scratch card, i.e. FREE!

Go to the JAMB result checking portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/ExamSlipPrinting/CheckUTMEResults.

Enter your JAMB Registration Number/Email Address in the required column.

Click on ‘Check My Results’.

The portal will load your result if it’s ready.

Check JAMB Result Via SMS

All candidates can now send RESULT, via SMS; to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line).

The result would be replied to as an SMS shortly after.

The following are the responses to be expected:

1. If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”

2. A candidate with a result will receive the message: Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).

3. If they withhold a result, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate.

4. Also, if a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”

5. If a candidate was absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback

6. A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.

7. “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.

How to Check JAMB Admission Status

1. Go to the JAMB portal at JAMB eFacility Portal. (We recommend you use a laptop or desktop computer or Chrome browser on your mobile phone.)

2. Login with your email and password.

3. Then locate and click on Check Admission Status.

4. If the page only shows Welcome, do not worry. Just click on the options icon on your phone’s browser (at the top right corner of the screen on Google Chrome) and change the view of the page from Mobile View to Desktop View.

5. Click on Admission Status on the left panel.

6. After your details have been successfully loaded, check if they have given you admission.

7. If they have given you admission, you notice that the Accept Admission and Reject Admission buttons will be active. If not, the buttons will appear faint.

You can now accept or reject your admission offer under your Admission Profile by clicking on the corresponding button.
