1. Columbian University in New York  

Columbia University is individually owned established in 1754. It has an overall undergraduate registration of 6,162, its location is urban, and the campus size is 36 acres.

3. New York School of Medicine

The New York University School of Medicine is the medical school of New York University.

Established in the year 1841 as the University Medical College, the NYU School of Medicine is one of the oldest medical schools in the United States, rating the 3rd in research according to U.S. News & World Report.

In 2017, it is one of the choosiest medical schools in the United States, with an acceptance ratio of 1.6 percent In 2014.

New York University School of Medicine fascinated over $304.5 million in external research funding from the National Institutes of Health alone.

The School of Medicine is part of NYU Langone Medical Center named after Kenneth Langone, the investment banker and financial backer of The Home Depot.

It is situated at 550 First Avenue in New York City. The School of Medicine has 1,177 full-time faculty and 3,091 part-time faculty.

Furthermore, the school has over 104 endowed professorships, 1,078 residents/fellows, 68 M.D./Ph.D. candidates and 400 postdoctoral fellows as of 2011.

The NYU Medical Center is home to the School of Medicine, the Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, and the Charles C. Harris Skin & Cancer Pavilion.

4. New York Medical College

New York Medical College (NYMC or New York Med) is an individually owned biomedical health sciences university situated in Valhalla, New York.

The institution was established in 1860, it is a member of the Touro College and University System.

NYMC provides advanced degrees via its three schools: the School of Medicine (SOM), the Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences (GSBMS) and the School of Health Sciences and Practice (SHSP).

Overall registration is 1,660 students (plus 774 medical students) also to 800 residents and clinical fellows. NYMC employments number is 1,350 full-time faculty members and 1,450 part-time and voluntary faculty.

The university has over 12,000 alumni active in medical practice, healthcare administration, public health, teaching and research.

Part of the Touro College and University System since 2011, New York Medical College is positioned on a shared suburban 600-acre campus with its academic medical centre, Westchester Medical Center (WMC) and the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

5. SUNY Downstate Medical Center

The SUNY Downstate Medical Center is among the medical school in New York. It is situated in central Brooklyn, New York, and the sole academic medical centre for health education, research,

and patient care that has been providing medical care to Brooklyn’s 2.5 million populaces. As of fall 2011, it had an overall student body of 1,738 and around 8,000 faculty and staff.

Downstate Medical Center contains a College of Medicine, Colleges of Nursing and Health Related Professions, Schools of Graduate Studies and Public Health, and University Hospital of Brooklyn.

It also comprises of a major research complex and biotechnology facilities.

SUNY Downstate rates eighth nationally in the number of alumni who are on the faculty of American medical schools.

6. The Renaissance School of Medicine

The Renaissance School of Medicine, previously Stony Brook School of Medicine is the medical school of Stony Brook University. Established in 1971, it is the top-rated public medical school in New York.

In 2018, NIH awards to the School of Medicine faculty and research centres surpassed $42 million. The School of Medicine has an affiliation with Stony Brook University Hospital and is situated in Stony Brook, NY.

7. University of Rochester

The University Of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), now known as UR Medicine,  situated in Rochester, New York, is one of the key campuses of the University of Rochester and includes the university’s primary medical education, research and patient care facilities

URMC I is among the biggest facilities for medical treatment and research in Upstate New York and comprises of a regional Prenatal Center, Trauma Center, Burn Center and the James P.

Wilmot Cancer Center, an Epilepsy Center, Liver Transplant Center and Cardiac Transplant Center and also includes a major AIDS Treatment Center and an NIH-designated AIDS Vaccine Evaluation Unit.
