Latest Update: This is to inform you that the 9th Convocation Ceremony scheduled for 20th – 21st March, 2020, has been postponed indefinitely.

The University Senate at its Emergency meeting held on the 16th March, 2020 took the decision which was ratified by the Governing Council to postpone the Ceremony in order to avoid possible crisis posed by the threat of Corona virus.

Management hereby regrets any inconveniences that this postponement may cause staff, students and all other stakeholders.

The authorities of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) invites the Public, Parents, Guardians and in particular Graduands to the 9th Convocation Ceremonies of the Institution holding on Friday, 20th March and Saturday, 21st March, 2020.

  • Friday, 20th March, 2020 – Convocation Lecture

Convocation Lecture by: Prof. Olumide Babatope Longe Chair-Department of Information Systems, American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State.
ThemeWhat if we are not Alone?: The Intensification of Surveillance and its Impacts on the Economics of Cybercrimes.
Venue: Convocation Arena, University Village, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Plot 91, Cadastral Zone, Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, Jabi, Abuja, FCT.
Time: 10:00 a.m.

  • Saturday, 21st March, 2020 –

Award of Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees, Post- Graduate Diplomas, Masters, PhD and Prizes.
Venue: Convocation Arena University Village, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Plot 91, Cadastral Zone, Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway, Jabi, Abuja, FCT.
Time: 10.00 a.m.

All those who have completed their programmes and have been cleared for convocation are to sign for and receive academic gowns, hoods and guest invitation cards from their respective Study Centres with effect from Monday, 16th March, 2020.
