OOU ASUU Suspends Its “No Pay, No Work” Protest Temporarily;

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) branch has suspended its “no pay no work” protest by two weeks.

The decision was reached at a closed door meeting of the union held today at the permanent site of the institution.

Members of the Academic Staff, OOU branch have urged the Ogun State Government to balance other payments within the limited time frame-work of “two weeks” in fulfillment of the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) signed between ASUU-OOU and Ogun State Government. The union has vowed to embark on a total indefinite strike if after the expiration of two weeks, Ogun State Government does not fulfill its promises.

Also, the union has ordered students to resume with immediate effect.

The Students’ Union Government under the leadership of Com. Tayo Mabunmi seize this opportunity to welcome students back to school, imploring them to start preparation for exams and other school activities immediately.
