University of Oxford, Oxford University Undergraduate Admission 2019 – The University of Oxford (informally Oxford University or simply Oxford) is a world-leading centre of learning, teaching and research and the oldest university in the English-speaking world. This institution can also be term as a collegiate research university located in Oxford, England.

It has no known date of foundation, but there is evidence of teaching as far back as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world’s second-oldest university in continuous operation.
It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris. After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge. The two “ancient universities” are frequently jointly referred to as “Oxbridge”.

- Start your application by creating an account. Register your referees as early as you can – references can be submitted at any time up until the deadline, before or after you submit your application
- Decide if you want to indicate a college preference.
- Check that you have chosen the right course and college and uploaded all the correct documents, then pay the application fee and submit your application.

Wednesday 27 June 2018, Thursday 28 June 2018, Friday 14 September 2018. Students, parents and teachers are invited to spend a whole day in Oxford, attending events, talking to staff and students and getting answers to any questions which remain after examining prospectuses and websites.
