Rutgers Business SchoolNewark and New Brunswick (RBS) offer undergraduate and graduate programs that equip graduates with the skills they need to succeed in today’s diverse global business environment.

The school educates students at two main campuses in Newark and New Brunswick, as well as six satellite locations in New Jersey and Singapore. A state-of-the-art business school building, 100 Rock, opened at the Livingston Campus of Rutgers University-New Brunswick in Piscataway in 2013.

The Rutgers Business School offers full-time and flex MBA programs, so students can choose the best place to complete their degree. Students hoping to piggyback their MBA’s with another advanced degree have a variety of options at Rutgers—New Brunswick and Newark. An MBA can be combined with a J.D. from the Rutgers School of Law, a master’s in public policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy or a master’s in biomedical sciences from the Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, among other advanced degrees.

1. The Undergraduate Programme:

The undergraduate programs at Rutgers Business School provide students with a strong foundation in the broad functional areas of business.

The Rutgers business school programs are intended to equip you with the skills you need to enter the workforce as a professional and deal ethically and effectively with the variety of complex problems that arise in business. Not only that, but a bachelor’s degree from RBS also prepares you for post-graduate study in business, law, and other disciplines if you choose to pursue further education beyond your undergraduate degree.

2. Rutgers Ph.D. programme:

Since 1978, Rutgers Business School (RBS) has trained leaders in business scholarship through its Ph.D. programs and its programs allow doctoral students to collaborate with world-class professors who have expertise in a broad range of research areas. These programs are designed for full-time students only and require four to five years of full-time study, with an emphasis on research from the outset.

Programme Application Requirements

Application fee (non-refundable) of $70

This can be paid online via a credit card. Also can be paid by check or money order which should be made payable to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Do not send cash.

Unofficial Transcripts

Applicants must either upload, email or mail in an unofficial transcript for each undergraduate and graduate institution attended or upload an evaluation report from a NACES agency.

GMAT or GRE Test Result

Official GMAT or GRE test results, taken within five years from the term of entrance, are required.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

You must submit either a TOEFL or IELTS score if your native language is not English. Not required of students who have done 3 or more years of their undergraduate work or have obtained a graduate degree in the U.S.

You must provide three letters of reference

Letters of reference can be submitted through the online application, mailed to the office directly by the recommender in a sealed/signed envelope, or emailed directly by the recommenders to [email protected].

Personal Statement

You must submit a personal statement of 300-500 words detailing academic, career, and personal objectives, which will be read by professors in the appropriate field. The personal statement should explain why you wish to enroll at Rutgers, describe your qualifications, and identify special interest areas of study. The personal statement can be submitted through the online application.

International Applicants

Additional requirements apply to international applicants. International students that are admitted that are not receiving financial assistance would have to provide financial documentation after accepting the admissions offer.

Amounts are for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. The university reserves the right to alter the amounts indicated on the following schedule at any time before the first day of classes of any term.

  • Full-time status achieved at 9.0 credits. Calculate tuition per credit up to 12 credits. Twelve or more credits capped at the 12 credit rate.
  • International Students are charged Health Insurance Premiums of $1025.50 for full-time students. International students are also charged a $250.00 Sevis Administration Fee for F1 and JI visa holders.
