South Africa Business School – Founded in 2015, SABS has trained over 5000 students through various curricula. We are well equipped in training delivery and provide a complete service to analyze, evaluate and implement your company’s training needs, or to ensure your staff obtains a full qualification in a cost-effective manner.

With our flexible approach to training, delegates can either be trained at our campuses or at our client’s venue of choice. Lectures at our workshops are presented by distinguished faculty and subject-matter experts.

SA Business School is a proud member of the SSDA group of companies; Shapiro, Shaik Defries and Associates, SA Procurement Hub, iContact BPO, Metropolitan Revenue Collections and Capital Securitization. Majority shareholders are the Genesis Capital Group.

SABSA aims not only to improve the recognition of the organization as a representative of SA business schools with government and regulatory bodies, but also to strengthen ties with the business fraternity.

SABSA members all offer MBA or MBL programmes accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). Nineteen member business schools are spread geographically around South Africa offering full-time, part-time, modular or executive MBA programmes.  A broad range of Executive Education short courses are also offered.

The South African Business Schools Association (SABSA) assists in creating an effective means of leveraging information, skills and expertise between business schools and assists to develop the business education sector in line with international standards.

It aims to provide a platform for the generation and exchange of innovative ideas as well as the exposure of best local and international practices and experience. This sharing of knowledge is aimed at improving the overall quality of business education on an ongoing basis.

Objectives:

To achieve its objectives the association:

  • Acts as a body to promote the collective interests of its members
  • Promotes interest in and knowledge of business and management
  • Promotes co-operation with other reputable and recognized institutions
  • Creates a forum for the discussion of relevant education legislation
  • Assists in the development of teaching methodology
  • Organizes academic conferences
  • Assists the development of those business schools in earlier stages of development
  • Improves on the system of assessment of the quality of business education in South Africa

MBA Entry Requirements

1. A four year Bachelor’s degree or

2. A post-graduate Diploma (Business Administration) at Level 8 or

3. An applicable Honours degree or

4. A RPL process (candidates admitted according to a RPL process cannot comprise more than 10% per intake)

5. Any additional admission requirements set by the individual business school.

Administration

The Association is directed by Dr Millard Arnold, Chief Executive Officer. A President and two Vice Presidents are nominated from amongst the nineteen Member Schools. The Association is administered by a secretariat based in Johannesburg.  The members of the Association meet twice every year.
