About SSU

Arising from the insatiable quest of the people of the state for education and excellence, the idea of establishing the Sokoto State University was conceived by the then Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Wamakko when he established the Sokoto State University Implementation Committee in 2008.

Sokoto State University resumption date has not been announced by the school management. This date, when announed will enable the continuation of the first semester, 2022/2023 session academic activities.

The management of the University has not yet announced the resumption date for the 2022/2023 Academic Session, however, we will keep you updated.

Consequently, the following schedule has been drawn for further information concerning the completion of the 2022/2023 academic session:

We are hereby using this platform to inform all the students of Sokoto State University that the management of the university has not yet approved the commencement of the 2022/2023 Academic year for all students.
