The Tai Solarin University of Education

The Tai Solarin University of Education is a state university of education in Nigeria. It was established in 2005. It is located in Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED, pronounced TARSUD), established on 29 January 2005 by the administration of His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, is a unique tertiary institution in the country.

Apart from being the first of its kind in Nigeria, she also shares a unique feature as the only institution in the country that offers both the bachelor’s degree programs in education (B.Ed.) and trains National Certificate of Education (NCE) graduates within the same academic environment.

TASUED Courses’ Requirements

For those who are interested in applying for a program in TASUED, here are the basic requirements that you must meet:

1. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO, or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.

2. Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO, or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO, or approved equivalents.

3. The candidate must make at least a 200 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the Tai Solarin University of Education.
