UNILORIN Plan to Commission Senate Chamber and Others During Convocation;

A total of 15 newly completed projects are to be commissioned at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) as part of activities marking the institution’s 32nd Convocation Ceremonies.

According to the University Bulletin issued on Monday in Ilorin, the projects would be inaugurated on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

The publication said the projects would include the 6.5km Main Campus-College of Health Sciences link road; the new Senate Chamber; the new Office Block for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the new Block of Laboratories for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Others include the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Complex, Sabo Oke; 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre for Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences and the 500-Capacity Lecture Theatre for Faculty of Science, among others.

It said that highlight of the ceremony would include the visit of Prof. John Wood, the Secretary General of Association of Commonwealth Universities, to deliver the Convocation Lecture titled “The Future of Universities”. (NAN)
