UNIPORT Pre-Degree Admission Form

LATEST UPDATE: The screening exercise for Admissions into 2020/2021 Pre-Degree/Certificate Program holds on Saturday 28th November, 2020 at School of Basic Studies, University of Port harcourt. Time: 12:00 noon. Come with photocard from purchase of form, credentials and writing materials. Proper wearing of face mask/face shield is compulsory.

Authorities of University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invite applications from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into any of the following one year Pre-degree Programme in the Faculties of Humanities and Education, for the 2020/2021 Session.

ELIGIBILITY: The Programme is open to applicants with a minimum of five (5) Credits in not more than two sittings in English Language and other relevant subjects [in GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB & TC II (TC II is applicable for applicants for Faculty of Education)].

COURSE DURATION: The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).

UNIPORT Pre-Degree Courses and Entry Requirements

Candidates should possess WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level with credit passes in 5 relevant subjects. See the list of subjects below for details.

O’ Level Subjects: English Language, Literature in English, CRK/IRK, Economics, Commence, Geography, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Agric. Science, Physics, A Nigerian Language (Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba),Fine Arts, History, Government, French, Further Mathematics, Music.

How to Apply for UNIPORT Pre-Degree Admission Form

Application is online, Log on to http://ashgrove-cce.uniport.edu.ng, go the CCE menu, click on Application procedure and follow the instructions; a fee of Eighteen Thousand Naira only (N18,000.00), including bank charges is required. Payment can be made online or at U &C Microfinance Bank LTD, Access Bank, First Bank, UBA and Fidelity Bank Nationwide.

The names on candidates’ O’ Level Certificates must be same as what is filled online. Any false information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.

REGISTRATION: Registration of successful candidates will be announced in due course.

NOTE:

To transit to the Degree Programme, in addition to the required 5 O’Level Credits, the candidate must

1. PASS THE PRESCRIBED PRE-DEGREE EXAMINATIONS.

2. HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) SUBJECT COMBINATION AND

3. HAVE THE NATIONAL MINIMUM SCORE IN THE 2020/2021 UTME AND MUST HAVE CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT.
