KWASU Portal: Kwara State University is a state-owned tertiary institution established in 2009 and is located in Malete, Kwara State. It has been Recognised by the NUC and held its First convocation on 1st, June 2013.

Kwara State University boasts of Colleges like education, humanities, Mgmt & Social Science, ICT, pure and applied sciences, school of Business and Governance, Institute of Distance learning, institute of Advanced Military Studies, Institute of Aviation English, Agriculture and Veterinary Science, amongst others.

The University was established as a non-residential multi-campus institution. On establishment, the University which was conceived on a Presidential model after Harvard University made impressive landmarks and stamped its name as the first University of Technology and first State University in Nigeria with her main campus at Enugu.

Other campuses that were created later were located at Abakiliki, Awka, and Nnewi. At inception, only three faculties namely, Engineering, Science, and Technology were established at the two functional campuses at Enugu and Awka.

KWASU Admission Requirements

Here are the required entry requirements for ALL JAMB/ UTME candidates seeking admission into the Kwara State University, KWASU.

• The institution has made it known to all the applicants seeking admission that the institution “Kwara State University, KWASU” must be among the “Choice of Institution” selected by the applicant. Preferable the “First Choice”
• All candidates must have a minimum of 180 in the JAMB/ UTME examination conducted
• Candidates’ O’level result must comprise a minimum of five (5) credits passes in relevant subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and in any other relevant subject, either in WAEC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, and other approved certificate examination by the institution.

Note; All of the Five (5) credit passes in the O’level result as requested by the institution, should not be more than two sittings.

How to Make KWASU Online Payments

All tuition payments, as well as departmental fees, can be paid through the undergraduate portal using your ATM card. To pay your school fees:

• Go to app.kwasu.edu.ng/portal
• Click on undergraduate
• Click on pre-admission screening candidates
• Login by inserting your Jamb registration number as your username and your surname as your password
• Follow the prompt to pay your acceptance fee
• Click on the logout button
• Click on login at the extreme right side of the page
• Click on make other payments
• Follow the prompt to pay your school fees and departmental fees
• Insert your card details where necessary

KWASU Tuition Fees for Indigenes

Indigenes of Kwara State are mandated to pay in full the sum of ninety-nine thousand five hundred naira (#99,500) only for first-year students and one hundred and nine thousand five hundred naira (#109,500) only for the second year to final year students.

They are also expected to pay an optional fee of thirty-five thousand naira (#35,000) only for hostel accommodation where appropriate.

KWASU Fees for Non Indigenes

Non-indigenes who have been admitted into the University are expected to pay in full the sum of two hundred thousand naira (#200,000) only for first-year students and the sum of two hundred and ten thousand naira (#210,000) only for the second year to final year students.

They are also expected to pay an optional fee of thirty-five thousand naira (#35,000) only for hostel accommodation where appropriate.
