About NABTEB

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board was founded in 1992 to domesticate craft level examinations.

Also, it was previously conducted by City & Guilds, Pittman’s, and the Royal Society of Arts throughout the United Kingdom in conformity with the principles of the National Policy on Education.

Its formation was the culmination of a 15-year evolutionary process in which FOUR Government Panels were established at various periods to assess the place and structure of public examinations in our educational system.

Mission

Develop as a Globally Recognized Assessment Body for Craftsmen and Technicians.

Vision

NABTEB is a vision-led, mission-driven public institution with the following vision: To be a Globally Recognised Assessment and Certification Body Preparing Candidates for the Workplace and Academic/Professional Excellence.

The management of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) is yet to release the 2021 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations results.

NABTEB Electronics Works Past Question and Answers 2022

Questions

1. Define the following:

a. Impedance matching

b. Class A amplifier

c. Biasing circuit

2. List two applications of Class A amplifier

3. State the following laws of electromagnetic induction.

(i)Lenz’s law

(ii) Faraday’s law

4. State four applications of electromagnetic induction.

Answers

The expected responses were:

(1) Definition of Terms

(I) Impedance matching is the principle of providing maximum power transferbetween
input and output of a system.

(ii) Class A amplifier: The type of amplifier biased in such a way that the collector current flows throughout the full cycle (3600) of the input signal.

(iii)Biasing circuit is an electronic means used to give power to an electronicdevice for
the purpose of establishing the proper operating conditions.

2. Applications of class A amplifier

i. Video Amplifier

ii. IF Amplifier

iii. RF Amplifier

iv. Voltage amplifier

v. Power amplifier

3. Laws of Electromagnetic Induction

(i) Lenz’s law

Lenz’s law states that the direction of induced emf is always such as to oppose the
change producing it.

(ii) Faraday’s law

Whenever there is a relative motion between a conductor and a magnetic field such that the conductor cuts the magnetic field, an emf is induced in the conductor.

Any change in magnetic flux in a conductor induces an emf in the conductor. The magnitude of the induced emf is directly proportional to the rate of change of the flux.

4. Applications of electromagnetic induction

i. Loudspeaker

ii. Electric bell

iii. Buzzer

iv. Moving coil instrument

v. Earphone

vi. Microphone

vii. Generators

viii. Transformer

ix. Solenoid.

NABTEB is one of the examination bodies set up by the Federal Government in 1992 to reduce the burden of conducting examinations, which involves a lot of technical and trade-related practicals.

The board conducts the National Technical Examination (NTC), National Business Certificate (NBC) and their respective advance level examinations (ANBC and ANTC).
