The Center for Reintegration is a highly regarded nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals facing mental illnesses, providing active support to guide them towards a rewarding life during their reintegration journey.
Reintegration represents the path individuals with mental illnesses undertake in order to reclaim purpose and satisfaction.
This process entails individuals with mental illnesses achieving meaningful employment and education, rebuilding their relationships, and making strides towards independent living.
Eligibility for Baer Reintegration Scholarship
To be eligible for the Baer Reintegration Scholarship, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Possess an officially documented diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or schizoaffective disorder.
2. Currently receive medical treatment for the diagnosed mental illness, including regular medications and ongoing psychiatric follow-up.
3. Actively participate in rehabilitative or reintegrative endeavors, such as membership in a clubhouse, part-time employment, volunteering, educational pursuits, or competitive employment.
4. Complete the application package, which includes an application form, an essay, transcripts (if applicable), three recommendation forms from references, and information about the applicant’s financial requirements from their educational institution.
