Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship, which is fully funded by Gen and Kelly Tanabe is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

The Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship is a merit-based initiative that chooses three students annually to support their educational costs.

Eligible participants include high school students in grades 9 to 12, as well as college and graduate students.

The scholarship program accepts applications twice a year and selects three students during each round. Notably, applicants are evaluated solely on the quality of their essay submissions, with no regard for financial circumstances or previous academic achievements.

This impartial approach ensures that all eligible students have an equal chance of receiving the award.

Scholarship Amount

The top prize, amounting to $1,000, will be granted to the recipient who emerges as the winner.

This award can be utilized to cover various educational expenses such as tuition fees, accommodation costs, mandatory fees, or any other relevant educational expenditures.

Eligibility for Scholarship

In order to meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

1. Must be a student in 9th to 12th grade, or enrolled in college or graduate school, including adult students.

2. Applicants must possess legal residency status within the United States.

3. Must be currently attending school or have plans to begin their education within the next 12 months.
