Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2023 Application Update
Hatfield Lioness Scholarship is currently open for applications from suitably qualified students. The scholarship is fully funded for all students and is sponsored by the Durham University.
The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship
David Melville established Hatfield College, which is a constituent college of Durham University in England, in 1846. It was the second college to be affiliated with the university, after University College.
The college has announced the Lioness Scholarship, which will be awarded to an individual who possesses both personal and academic qualities that would enable them to successfully complete and benefit from a higher education course.
The scholarship has been established as a part of the celebration of 30 years of women students at Hatfield College, University of Durham.
It is being funded by alumni, friends of the College, and other sources that support the scholarship’s objectives.
Benefits of Hatfield Lioness Scholarship
The scholarship will provide several benefits:
1. The complete payment of tuition fees for the university.
2. A stipend for living expenses that will be provided in 12 monthly installments.
3. A round-trip economy airfare from the student’s home country to the United Kingdom,
4. The cost of return travel between the airport and Durham City.
5. The scholarship also includes fully funded, self-catered, mixed accommodation at Hatfield College.
6. A “settling in allowance,” upon arrival.
7. The scholarship covers the expenses associated with obtaining a UK visa and the UK Health surcharge.
Restrictions:
1. The scholarship encompasses a range of advantages, such as covering the entire university tuition fees.
2. Providing a living allowance disbursed in 12 monthly payments, offering a return economy airfare from the student’s home country to the UK, along with covering the cost of travel between the airport and Durham City.
3. The scholarship includes fully-funded mixed accommodation at Hatfield College that is self-catered and an initial allowance for settling in.
4. Also, the scholarship provides coverage for the expenses associated with acquiring a UK visa and paying the UK Health surcharge.

Requirements for Hatfield Lioness Scholarship
1. To be eligible, candidates must have applied for a master’s program of their choice and received an unconditional offer by June 2023.
2. Applicants must not have received any other scholarship to finance their postgraduate studies.
Applicants should:
1. Possess an appropriate undergraduate degree with a satisfactory level of excellence that meets the admission requirements for the desired Master’s program.
2. Have a suitable bachelor’s degree that meets the admission criteria for the intended Master’s program and is of an acceptable standard.
3. Do not have a Master’s degree.
4. Do not have adequate financial resources to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK by other means.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the academic excellence, personal characteristics, and alignment of the candidate’s objectives with the chosen degree program.
