KOICA Scholarship Program, which is fully funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a prominent agency focused on development cooperation, offering grant aid programs to support developing countries.

In the current year, they have initiated the application process for their scholarship program, providing opportunities for publicly-affiliated workers to pursue 24 master’s programs and two doctoral programs.

Scholarship Benefit

1. Travel Expenses: Round-trip economy class airfare, taking the most direct route to and from Korea.

2. Comprehensive Tuition Coverage: Full coverage of tuition fees.

3. Accommodation: Provided accommodation, primarily in the training institute’s dormitory.

4. Living Allowance: Stipend to cover living expenses.

5. Meal Provision: Meals during the program duration.

6. Learning Resources: Textbooks and materials necessary for the program.

7. Educational Activities: Study visits, field trips, and other relevant activities throughout the program.

8. Medical Check-up: Post-entry medical examination as part of the program.

9. Health Insurance: Overseas traveler’s health insurance, covering medical treatments and hospital care within the specified limits and coverage scope.

Eligibility for Scholarship

Applicants are needed to meet the following criteria:

1. Age Limit: Ideally, be below the age of 40 as of February 1, 2023.

2. Citizenship: Hold citizenship of the target country for the Scholarship Program.

3. Professional Background: Work as a government official, public sector employee, or researcher in a state institute in their home country, possessing a bachelor’s degree or higher.

4. Government Nomination: Receive nomination from the respective government.

5. English Proficiency: Possess strong spoken and written English skills to fully engage in English-taught classes, academic reporting, and thesis writing.

6. Adaptability: Display a positive attitude and a firm determination to adapt to a multicultural environment and understand the hosting country’s culture.

7. Moral Character: Exhibit good moral characteristics to thrive in the campus student life.

8. Health Requirement: Maintain good physical and mental health to participate in the program.

9. Disqualifying Conditions: Pregnancy and any form of contagious disease, including tuberculosis, are considered disqualifying conditions for program participation.

10. Scholarship Background: Applicants should not have a record of receiving or participating in any scholarship program, including the KOICA Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Korean government, in the past.
