The list of Free Scholarships in Ghana are listed below:

1. Baker Hughes Scholarship

Baker Hughes is offering the “BH Scholarship” to selected undergraduate students at the University of Ghana.

This scholarship provides consistent financial support and covers expenses such as academic fees, accommodation fees, and book allowances.

Additionally, eligible students who maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 and can demonstrate financial need may also have the opportunity to receive leadership training and participate in a limited internship program.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to qualify for the Baker Hughes Scholarship at the University of Ghana, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

1. Applicants must hold Ghanaian citizenship.

2. They should be enrolled as regular students at the University of Ghana.

3. They must have achieved a minimum aggregate of 15 or higher in the WASSCE or possess a CGPA of 3.0.

4. Applicants must be able to demonstrate limited family income and/or insufficient funds to cover their educational expenses.

5. They must exhibit strong determination, perseverance, and a track record of success in other endeavors.

6. Eligible applicants must be pursuing a degree in either BA Computer Science or Basic Applied Sciences in specific fields, including BSc in Information Technology, Material Science and Engineering, Earth Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

7. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 throughout their academic program.

8. Applicants should have a good conduct record.

2. Kufuor Scholars Program

The Kufuor Scholars Program (KSP), initiated by the John A. Kufuor Foundation, is welcoming applications from highly qualified students enrolled in universities in Ghana.

The program’s primary objective is to offer a unique and comprehensive three-year leadership development opportunity for young Africans, with the goal of transformational growth.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Kufuor Scholars Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Hold Ghanaian citizenship.

2. Be enrolled as a first-year student (level 100) at a Ghanaian university, pursuing any academic discipline. Students beyond their second year (level 200) are not eligible.

3. Possess tangible evidence of a strong interest in leadership and relevant experience, whether at the school, community, or national level.

4. Emphasize their ability to lead, demonstrate a commitment to service, and uphold high standards of integrity.

3. TDR Postgraduate Scholarship

Scholarships are available for the academic session of 2022-2023, specifically for a one-year Program in Public Health.

This program leads to either an MPH degree or an MSc. in Applied Health Social Science.

Instruction for these programs is conducted in the English language.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be considered for the TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in 2023, potential applicants must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

1. They must be both residents and citizens of a low- or middle-income country within the WHO African Region, as per the World Bank’s classification.

2. Applicants should be below 35 years of age at the time of submitting their application.

3. They must fulfill the regular admission prerequisites set by the University of Ghana for local or international graduate students.

4. A strong interest in pursuing a career in implementation research related to infectious diseases of poverty is required.

5. Proficiency in the English language is necessary.

6. Applicants should provide evidence of their ability to obtain study leave from their current employment (if applicable) prior to starting the program.

7. Consent to comply with the health requirements established by the Government of Ghana and the University of Ghana is essential.
