China Scholarships: You can study in China on a fully funded or partially funded scholarship. The Chinese government and Universities in China offer scholarships to international students and local citizens every year.

In this article, I have listed some best PhD Scholarships in China, Masters Scholarships in China, and undergraduate level scholarships.

1. Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University

Deadline: September 26th

Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University is open for International Students. The scholarship allows Masters level programme(s) in the field of economics and business, International Studies, Public Policy taught at Tsinghua University.

The scholarship benefits include tuition and fees, room and board, travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year, an in-country study tour, required course books and supplies, health insurance, and a personal stipend of $4,000.

2. Biomedical Sciences Scholarships – Zhejiang University – University of Edinburgh Institute in Haining, China

Deadline: Varies

Biomedical Sciences Scholarships – Zhejiang University – University of Edinburgh Institute in Haining, China 2019 is open for International Students. The scholarship allows Bachelor level programme(s) in the field of Biomedical Sciences taught at Zhejiang University.

The scholarship covers Full or half tuition fees (tuition fees are normally 200,000 RMB), exemption from accommodation fees (approximately 8,000 RMB), living allowance of up to 17,000 RMB per year, and international student medical insurance (approximately 3,200 RMB).

3. Hubei Provincial Scholarships in China for all Nationalities

Deadline: June 1st

Hubei Provincial Scholarships in China for all nationalities 2019 is open for all nationalities except Chinese. The scholarship allows Bachelor, Masters, PhD level programme(s) in the field of all subjects taught at selected Universities in China.

The scholarship is divided into five categories: Undergraduate Scholarship is 10,000 annually; Graduate Scholarship is 15,000 RMB annually; Doctorate scholarship is 20,000 RMB annually; General Scholar Scholarship is 5,000 RMB per 6 months or 10,000 annually; Advanced Scholar Scholarship (including visiting scholars, similarly hereinafter) is 10,000 per 6 months or 20,000 annually.

4. Jiamusi University Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarships Program in China

Deadline: April 15th

The Government of Heilongjiang is offering the Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarships Program at Jiamusi University in China. The scholarship is open for international students to pursue an undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral program.

The scholarships include the fees of registration, tuition, experiment, practical training, basic teaching materials, lodging, and comprehensive medical insurance.

5. Siemens China Scholarship at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China

Deadline: March 1st

The Siemens China Scholarship available at Tsinghua University for international graduate students. The scholarship support outstanding international students to pursue Ph.D. degrees in different fields at Tsinghua University.

The scholarship covers tuition fees (40,000 RMB/year), Living allowance including accommodation, medical insurance, books or other materials and transportation, and so on (160,000 RMB/year in total).

6. International Scholarship at Kellogg School of Management in China

Deadline: February 2nd

The Kellogg School of Management and Morgan Stanley partner invite applications for the Kellogg-Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge. The challenge wants to identify the excellent proposals that offer novel investment strategies to meet some of the most pressing global challenges ahead.

Awards will be made for the overall quality of the proposals based on the judging criteria; $15,000 in prizes will be awarded to the winning teams, that is, overall first place: $10,000 and overall runner-up: $5,000.

In addition to the overall first prize award, the winning team will be invited to attend and present on a panel with Dave Chen, CEO, and Principal of Equilibrium Capital and co-founder of the Challenge at the Milken Global Conference in Los Angeles.

7. SCUT Chinese Government Scholarship for Chinese University Program and Silk Road Program

The new Chinese Government Scholarship for Chinese University Program and Silk Road Program is now available on offer for all Non-Chinese students. The scholarship benefits include exempt from registration fee, tuition, and fee for accommodation, monthly living allowance; RMB 3,000 for Master’s students and RMB 3,500 for Doctorate degree students.

Deadline: November 20th

The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) is happy to announce “Confucius Institute Scholarship” (CIS) at East China Normal University (ECNU). Scholarships are available for international students.

The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides full scholarship and partial scholarship. Full Scholarship consists of tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance expenses; Partial scholarship covers tuition fee, accommodation fee, and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.

Deadline: April 30

The new USTB Chancellor Scholarship 2019 is now available on offer for international students. Full and Partial scholarships are available for students. The full scholarship covers tuition fee, accommodation on campus, living allowance (Bachelor 2500CNY/month, Master 3000CNY/month, Doctorate 3500CNY/month), and comprehensive medical insurance.

Deadline: June 15th

The new Nankai University Scholarship is now available on offer to study Undergraduate as well as Master degree programs.  These scholarships are available to international students. The scholarship amount is CNY10,000/students per year, while Masters & PhD is CNY 15,000/students per year.

11. Jiamusi University, Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarships Program in China

Deadline: April 15th

Government of Heilongjiang is offering scholarship for international students to study in the appointed educational institutions in Heilongjiang province, for degrees at different levels.

The scholarships include the fees of registration, tuition, experiment, practical training, basic teaching materials, lodging and comprehensive medical insurance. Students should pay the traveling and living expenses.

12. Fully Funded TBSI PhD and Master Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China

The Tsinghua – Berkeley School of Shenzhen is awarding Scholarships for International students to study Master and PhD programs.

These scholarships are available for students of all nationalities. The scholarship benefits include tuition fee for PhD program (40,000CNY/Year), tuition fee for Masters Program (33,000 CNY/Year), application fee (800CNY), medical insurance (600 CNY/Year), and accommodation on Tsinghua campus, Shenzhen (1,000 CNY/month for single rooms).

Applicants are invited for the Unique Master Programme on Higher Education, which offers Full Scholarships supported by the European Union. Scholarships are open to applicants from all nationalities. The new Full-Tuition Philanthropy Scholarship is now available on offer to pursue MBA programme at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
