National Scholarship 2023, which is fully funded and sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA), Govt of India is presently accepting applications from eligible students.

The National Scholarship 2023

All categories of scholarships, including Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and technical courses, and PhD level scholarships, are included in the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The NSP Portal administers several services, such as validating student applications, issuing receipts, processing and approving the applications, and disbursing scholarship funds to eligible beneficiaries.

Eligibility Criteria

1. NSP Pre Matric Scholarship

Criteria – Students who have obtained over 50% marks in their last final examination and whose parents/guardians’ total income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakh are entitled for the scholarship.

Coverage – The scholarship is meant for students in Classes I to X studying in government or private schools across India, and is available to those from minority communities.

2. NSP Post Matric Scholarship

Criteria – The scholarship will be granted to students who have scored over 50% marks or equivalent grade in their last final examination and whose parents/guardians’ total income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.

Coverage – The scholarship is intended for those pursuing studies in government or private higher secondary schools/colleges/universities in India, including technical and vocational courses at the XI.

Also, XII levels of Industrial Training Institutes/Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Polytechnics, and other similar programs.

Required Documents

When applying for a scholarship on the NSP website, students must upload specific documents to complete the process.

However, if the scholarship amount is less than INR 50,000, no documents are required to be uploaded during the application process.

Instead, students need to provide copies of the documents to their respective school/college/institute.

For all other scholarships, students must keep the following documents ready:

1. Bank Passbook.

2. Educational documents.

3. Aadhaar number.

4. Domicile Certificate (as mentioned in the respective scholarship guidelines).

5. Income Certificate (as mentioned in the respective scholarship guidelines).

6. Caste Certificate (if applicable).

7. Bonafide student certificate from school/institute (if the institute/school is located outside the applicant’s domicile state).

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting online applications for the NSP Scholarship is in November 2023.
