The ANSO Scholarship 2023 for Young Talents Application Update
The ANSO Scholarship, which is fully funded by the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) is presently accepting applications from eligible students.
The ANSO Scholarship
The ANSO Scholarship, also known as the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, was officially initiated in 2019 to foster and develop promising young scientists from various countries.
Each year, the ANSO Scholarship sponsors 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students, enabling them to pursue advanced studies at renowned institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or other Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) institutes located throughout China.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, candidates are required to meet the following requirements:
1. The candidate must hold citizenship other than Chinese.
2. For Master’s degree applicants, the birthdate must be on or after January 1, 1993 (inclusive).
3. For PhD degree applicants, the birthdate must be on or after January 1, 1988 (inclusive).
4. International students must meet the criteria set by USTC/UCAS.
5. Applicants should not undertake any other responsibilities or assignments during the duration of their scholarship.
6. Proficiency in either English or Chinese language is necessary.

Documents Required
To complete the application process, the following documents and materials are required:
1. A valid passport copy with a minimum validity of 2 years.
2. An updated curriculum vitae (CV) that includes a concise overview of your research experience.
3. Copies of the original degree certificates.
4. Two reference letters from reputable sources.
5. A well-defined research proposal outlining your intended area of study.
6. Photocopies of any published academic papers (up to 5) if they are available.
7. Proof of proficiency in English and/or Chinese languages.
8. A completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
