UQ Sports Achievement Scholarships is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the University of Queensland, Australia.

About the Scholarship

This scholarship was started in 2008 and is still being supported by donations and money from The University of Queensland.

This scholarship, which was established in 2008 and is still being supported by donations and money from The University of Queensland, aims to inspire and help deserving new and continuing students who have excelled in their chosen sport.

Benefits of UQ Sports Achievement Scholarships

The Senate will choose the amount of each year’s scholarships on the advice of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).

Requirements for UQ Sports Achievement Scholarships

The scholarships will be awarded, at the discretion of the selection committee, to the applicants showing the greatest merit as demonstrated by:

1. Are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or the holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa; and

2. Are a new or continuing student who is, or intends to be, enrolled at the required enrolment in a relevant degree program.

3. New Zealand citizens are not eligible for this scholarship unless they are Australian Permanent Residents.

4. Academic achievement in their secondary school studies or tertiary level studies to date or another post-secondary study; and

5. Leadership achievements and capabilities; and

6. Elite-level sporting achievements in their chosen sport.
