Born on December 9, 1906, Grace Murray Hopper was an accomplished American computer scientist and United States Navy officer. She passed away on January 1, 1992.

Due to her remarkable accomplishments and naval rank, she was often referred to as “Amazing Grace”.

Hopper began her career as an associate professor at Vassar College but joined the US Naval Reserve in 1943 during World War II.

There, she honed her programming skills and made significant contributions to the US Navy. Her expertise in Mathematics, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering greatly aided her in this endeavor.
