For individuals with a bachelor’s degree (S1), the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) offers the Fulbright Master’s Degree Scholarship. Those who are citizens of Indonesia may apply for this scholarship.

The bilateral Fulbright Commission for Indonesia is called the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation (AMINEF).

They have been advancing the goals and objectives of the Fulbright program in Indonesia for 25 years; the program celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2017.

The numerous educational exchange programs run by AMINEF have improved mutual understanding and fortified the bonds that bind Indonesia and the United States together.

The ability to speak and understand English is a requirement for eligibility.

Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must:

1. Be citizens of Indonesia and not US permanent residents, or be US citizens living in the US at the time

2. Demonstrate leadership abilities and a track record of community service

3. Possess training in and a track record of dedication to their chosen topic of study

4. Be fluent in English and possess an exceptional academic background

5. Show that they can complete a full-time graduate program or carry out research in the United States.

6. Show that you are adamant about returning to Indonesia after the Fulbright scholarship program is over.

7. Be prepared to work for a minimum of five years after the scholarship program ends before retiring.

8. Possess an IELTS equivalent score or a minimum TOEFL ITP score of 550.

9. An individual who works for AMINEF, the US Embassy, or the US Department of State, or who is a dependent of one of these entities

10. Currently working for a different degree

11. being awarded a different scholarship at the time of application

12. Pursuing a second, comparable program to earn two degrees

13. Candidates need to speak and write English well.

How to Apply

Before the application deadline, candidates must fill out the relevant application forms, which may be accessed by clicking the link below, and send them, along with the supporting documents mentioned above, to AMINEF in hard copy by mail or in person.

1. Submission Requirements (to be supplied in English)

2. Completed application form, including one-page study objective

3. Copy of most recent (less than two years old) TOEFL ITP or IELTS scores

4. Two letters of reference, either from an employer or a university lecturer

5. Copy of academic transcript and diploma (in original language and English translation)

6. Copy of valid identity document (KTP or passport)

7. Curriculum vitae
