1. Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI)
Deadline: August 31st
The University of Adelaide offers Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) to attract high quality overseas postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the University of Adelaide to support its research effort.
The scholarship includes course tuition fees, annual living allowance ($27,082 in 2018), and overseas student health cover.
The scholarship is awarded for two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree.
2. Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships
Deadline: February 1st
The University of Edinburgh will offer 30 scholarships for Ph.D. Research Programme in any field of study offered by the University.
Each scholarship covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. The awards do not cover maintenance expenses.
3. Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students
Each year, the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries.
The research scholarship is available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline who are planning to study in Switzerland. The scholarship covers a monthly payment, exemption of tuition fees, health insurance, airfare, housing allowance, etc.
4. Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships
Deadline: January 18th
The Chancellor’s International Scholarships are allocated annually through a combined postgraduate research scholarship competition and are open to all overseas students in any discipline offered at Warwick.
The award will include full payment of overseas tuition fees (worth up to £22,860) and a maintenance stipend worth £15,044 for full-time award holders.
5. University of Sydney International Scholarships (USydIS)
The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master’s by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS).
The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester’s extension for Ph.D. students.
6. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS)
Deadline: October 31st
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) was created to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and to establish Canada as a global center of excellence in research and higher learning.
The scholarships are worth $50,000 per year for three years.
7. Australia Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships
Deadline: October 31st
The RTP provides block grants, on a calendar year basis, to higher education providers (HEPs) to support both domestic and overseas students undertaking Research Doctorate and Research Masters degrees, known as higher degrees by research (HDRs).
The scholarship provides tuition fees, living allowance, and others.
8. Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Scholarships at University of Flinders
Deadline: August 9th
The Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships (International) are specifically intended to support international students to undertake a research higher degree at Flinders University.
The scholarship covers the international student tuition fees, a generous living allowance paid at the rate of $27,082 and an establishment allowance of up to $1,485.
9. University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships
Established by the University of Melbourne, this scholarship is available to high achieving domestic and international students undertaking a Master by research degree or Doctoral degree.
The scholarship offers full fee offset for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to four years for students undertaking a doctoral degree, living allowance, relocation grant, and health insurance.
10. New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships
Deadline: July 15th
The NZIDRS, funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, provides scholarships for international students to undertake Ph.D. study at a New Zealand university.
The NZIDRS covers university tuition fees and associated student levies, an annual living stipend of NZ$25,000 (tax-free), and medical insurance/year for the duration of three years.
11. University of Newcastle Postgraduate Research Scholarships
Deadline: September 15th
Prospective and current research students are eligible to apply for University and Commonwealth Government scholarships, which are awarded during two rounds to domestic and international applicants.
The scholarship provides an annual living allowance of $26,288/year, a relocation allowance of up to $2,050, a thesis allowance of up to $500, full tuition fee and health cover.
12. EFI Doctoral Fellowships in Finland
The EDUFI Fellowships program is open to young Doctoral level students and researchers from all countries and from all academic fields who wish to pursue their Doctorate (or Double Doctorate) at a Finnish university.
Master’s level studies or post-doctoral studies/research are not supported in the program. The scholarship covers living expenses and a monthly allowance of 1,500 Euros.
13. University of Otago International Research Master’s Scholarship
The University of Otago International Master’s Award provides funding to support international Master’s students studying at the University of Otago.
Research Master’s scholarships support students during the thesis part of a research Master’s degree. The value of the scholarship is NZ$15,000/year plus a tuition fee waiver for 1 year capped at the domestic rate for Master’s study.
14. University of Otago Doctoral Scholarships
The University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support doctoral students studying at the University of Otago.
The Scholarship is available to both domestic and international students. Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the Ph.D., are welcome to apply.
The value of the scholarship is NZ$25,000/year plus domestic tuition fees waiver.
15. University of Sydney Faculty of Science Scholarships for International Students
Deadline: November 30th
The Faculty of Science offers a limited number of full-time postgraduate research scholarships to outstanding international students wishing to undertake a research doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the Faculty of Science. The scholarship covers tuition fees plus stipends.
