Candidates that participated in the Imo State University (IMSU) 2020/2021 Post UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status.

IMSU merit admission list contains the names of successful candidates offered provisional admission into the various programmes offered by the university.

Admission lists are usually released by institutions after the conduct of admission screening exercise, it comes in different batches; 1st Batch is (Merit List) followed by 2nd, 3rd and other Batches.

The Imo State University (IMSU) in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria was established in 1981 through law No. 4 passed by the Imo State House of Assembly. After the creation of Abia State in 1991, the Uturu campus of the university became the Abia State University.

Imo State University is a fully functional university. Most of the programmes of the university have obtained full accreditation from National Universities Commission of Nigeria.

The result of the 1999/2000 accreditation exercise of the National Universities Commission (NUC) confirmed the high rate and acceptance of the university by the Nigerian public.

The university was ranked first among all state universities in Nigeria and the 10th overall among both state and federal universities.

Brief Information about IMSU

IMSU 2020/2021 Admission List

Currently, IMSU prospective students can only access their admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:

1. Go to the JAMB admission portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility_/.

2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.

3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.

4. Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.

5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your IMSU admission status.

Candidates who have been admitted and have accepted the admission offer made to them in JAMB CAPS must:

  1. Visit the bank and make Supplementary Fee Payment using Imo State University Pay Direct platform.
  2. Carefully enter their JAMB REG NO/CANDIDAT NAMES/PHONE NO/DEPT OF CHOICE.
  3. Generate and print the receipt.

Candidates not yet admitted are to apply for IMSU supplementary admission.
